Barbara Gehrig is a 30-year veteran of the cable telecommunications industry. As Senior Vice President for Comcast’s Maryland/ Delaware Region, Gehrig was CEO and COO of the regional operations for the nation’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services. Gehrig led a team of 3,500 employees who provided new services to more than one million customers.
Gehrig’s corporate leadership experience working in partnership with business executives, community leaders, and elected officials uniquely qualifies her to ensure the financial success of Riverwalk Residences as an innovative senior living community and as an asset to Fort Lauderdale.
Gehrig’s commitment to community is highlighted by her service on numerous business, civic and professional boards. This includes Chair of the Greater Baltimore Committee, an organization comprised of the top 50 CEOs in the Greater Baltimore Region, Board Member of the Living Classrooms Foundation, and the Towson University Board of Visitors. Gehrig was also appointed by the Governor to serve on the Boards of the University of Maryland Medical System and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture. Gehrig is a member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout her career, Gehrig received numerous awards for her outstanding performance. She was recognized by various regional and national publications as one of the “Top 50 Business Women in Baltimore”, “Top Influential Women,” and “Maryland’s Top 100 Women.”
Gehrig received her Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, Accounting from the University of Maryland.
